Well, she lived for over 20 years thinking Snow White was the daughter of the people she despised with all her heart. It wasn’t just the span of days, months, or even 7 years, but over 20. She’s going through stages, and overcoming such denial really needs time. She can’t just skip right to accepting Snow White as her child, her mind is not in the best condition. And, while I think Rose is doing the right thing to step up and help Grimhilde manage this, she needs to learn to understand the weight of the situation Grimhilde was exposed to. Then again, she’s still a child in a grown body, so I can’t blame her for not getting that. After all she was lied to about everything as well.

I wonder if she is in denial about it being her daughter because she tried kill we and this was apart of her original plot or because she is stubborn.
I love how Rose Red is dealing with her grandmother. Although, if you ask me, it wasn’t just Grimhilde’s fault, Althea also had quite a big role in shaping both Snow White and Rose Red’s fates.
If she was never lied to by Althea about her daughter’s fate, or simply wasn’t consumed about her own pride nor Mirror’s advices, I’m sure she would have loved Snow… but then again, who knows if at some point she wouldn’t end up being jealous of her anyway. After all, Dorian loves Snow White
I think that Grimhilde wouldn’t be jealous of Snow White, after all Dorian was her teenage crush, many years would have passed since then, and Dorian and Grimhilde didn’t end up in the greatest of terms (aka Grimhilde finding Althea and Dorian in bed no much later after she confessed to him), so I think she’d try to warn Snow about Dorian and find other suitors for her instead.

That robe looks familiar. Does anyone know the style?
Black95 said it’s Scarlett O’Hara’s robe from Gone with the Wind. It looked familiar to me but because I wasn’t expecting any of Scarlett’s dresses, I didn’t make the connection at first. I wonder if this is just an easter egg or if this means Scarlett is also at the Citadel. Or maybe Grimhilde just ransacked her wardrobe lol.
I would like to see if Scarlett has any more success killing Hilda now lol. I’m kinda hoping we get a peek of her in the Crimson Citadel now, if for nothing else than to see her and Grimhilde smackdown over stealing her dressing gown.
Grimhilde is wearing Scarlett O’Hara dress !!!! <3
Good to know Grimhilde is still going through her mental crisis. Interesting that she still can’t accept Snow White is her daughter though.

Probably both

Grimhilde wanted a child more than anything, If Althea hadn´t happen, she would´ve loved Snow White
Yet at the same time, without Althea’s meddling, Grimhilde would never have given birth to Snow White to begin with.

It would make sense though. Grimhilde is prone to throwing temper tantrums just like Scarlett! XD!

It’s not literally the same robe but the color palette is indeed a reference to it 😀
