Indeed, Ariel was also looked down upon by the Polais people as an outsider, according to the yellow press.
However, I don’t recall Aurora being discriminated against. Unless you are referring to the psychological damage the princesses went through because of the villains. I apologize, I should have worded it better the first time.
For Aurora, I did indeed mean psychological damage coming from her main villain. Snow White has been shielded from that so far and Jasmine hasn’t had any interactions with Jafar although her getting nearly killed and revived may prove to be traumatic.

The portraits are like from a chamber of horrors! I hope Jaq and Gus disappearing doesn’t mean they’re going to be killed off sooner in this remake.
I was thinking the same thing. Either this part is simply psychological and Jaq and Gus are still there, she just doesn’t realize it, or this is how she ends up being separated from them for good.
Unlike the original version, Agatha is trying to also destroy her psychologically. It reminds me of what Belle had to go through. What a monster!
Also, amazing job on the pacing, the expressions and the shadows! You guys could literally create a disturbing horror story easily with such skills!
Not just Belle but Ariel and Aurora as well. Snow White and Jasmine get off relatively well in comparison.

That’s odd. Why won’t the emojis show up when I post my comments?
The added psychological terror to this scene complete with Cinderella suddenly dressed in rags again and the paintings jeering at her is brilliant.
