Chapter 1 page 18 has Rose Red call Beatrix her aunt. And a few pages before, Snow White talks about how close Frederick and Rose Red both were with Beatrix.

I forgot all about Beatrix. I’m guessing she’s Bluebeard’s dead wife but I can’t figure out how she ended up in that secret room.
We haven’t actually figured out how or why Beatrix died. Supposedly, she was murdered by her husband (who has been confirmed by the artists NOT to be Bluebeard), but with this comic, there could be a 180 degree twist that it was something else completely.
Gee, I knew checking out the newest page before going to sleep was a brilliant idea. Nothing like the chills down your spine, after seeing a ghost of a violently murdered woman

Yes, Beatrix is his sister and we found out she died which is why Snow White, Frederick, and Rose Red attend her funeral.
Oh, I thought that his ex lover or something because I remember Snow White coming off as annoying when he said they were close.
