So many updates lately! I’m really loving the visuals in this chapter, especially the colors and underwater scenes. The story around Arista is getting interesting too. Her first experience with the human world was pretty traumatic and not as ideal as Ariel’s, but both ended up marrying humans, so things must’ve changed a lot for her. I can’t wait to find out more, keep up the awesome work!
I could be wrong, but I think her husband was also a merman, and apparently Ursula’s business partner. It’s just that everyone showed up for Melody’s 16th birthday in human form.

Wait…Isnt that flower the one Arista wears in the 3.5 cover?
That’s right, and it’s something that varies between the original movie, its prequel, and the merchandise. I’ve arranged them this way due to adaptation and personal preference 🙂

Gorgeous pages! Arista with her hair down resembles Harmonia a lot. I wonder if Ursula will say something about it when they meet.

So did they just turn someone into a flower or simply created one out of her remains?
Maybe. In one of the previous pages is mentioned that the ritual only needs 6 priestesses, which is why Ariel doesn’t participate, because she is the seventh daughter.
The situation explains a lot about Ariel’s inconsiderate attitude. No one ever really explained to her why the human world is so dangerous. Moreover, she had no clear vision of her future. Her sisters were destined to become priestesses of the oceans. As the seventh daughter, Ariel would never reign. The only sister close to her distanced herself, and Ariel was left with no formal education. With no objectives, no meaningful family connections, and no real education, she could only dream of something better, somewhere else.
It also doesn’t help that she is the favorite daughter of someone with a temper. As someone who dealt with a father like that, I would either find ways to distinct myself from him or do things to mess with him.

Sonne! Will we get to see Ariel’s mother in this chapter at all? I know the original Chapter was framed as Attina telling a story/myth that was passed down to her from her mother, so I’m wondering if we’ll get to see her, and how she acted in front of her daughters in flashbacks from the older sisters since she’ll be dead at this point
In the first chapter that was started, she didn’t have more scenes than the ones she had already done. In this version, she will have a small appearance that I’ve added, but it won’t be much.

Indeed:)
Woah! Good eye!
Wow. 😮
Love to see more of this mythology. I feel those flowers will be awfully significant based on how they’ve been described.
The designs of all the daughters are all so beautiful. I always thought Alana had the pink tail and Andrina purple though?

We’ll see it on next page, the flower remains over the body, which is still there.
Never thought I would see mermaid culture explored and I seriously love it! It’s so beautiful and haunting at the same time!
I reckon Ariel is too young to be a priestess?
Maybe. In one of the previous pages is mentioned that the ritual only needs 6 priestesses, which is why Ariel doesn’t participate, because she is the seventh daughter.
Oh I completely forgot about that part. Thanks!
