Oh my gosh. He even has a golden tail. You could be on to something! Also, a poisoned comb shows up in the original Snow White fairytale too. Either way it could lead back to Dorian.
I thought about the poisoned comb from Snow White as well. But the seashell theme to it makes me think this is a comb belonging to someone under the sea.
His eye flashing gold also makes me think he might be another child of the Third One, like Dorian and Hilda. Maybe dying his hair is to conceal his identity for whatever reason.

Whoever sent Tristan had to have know Ursula personally. Could it have been her mother Galatea or her sister Morgan?
I didn’t think he was her willing ally after all that. Of course Ursula was going to double cross Tristan but what happens when the double crosser gets double crossed?

He seems very powerful. This means that even if he was a human who became a merman, he wasn’t some ordinary human.

Now wait a moment… He’s naturally blond, has a golden tail AND his eyes glow golden when he uses magic? I feel so on the nose for making this theory, but I wonder if Tristan is Dorian’s child. Supposedly he has many scattered through the universe, without even knowing it.

Tristian’s tail looks so low that it could come off any panel now.
Rereading page 3-21 in the light of this chapter brought something to my attention. The comb shown in this page is the one Harmonia would constantly steal from Ursula, right? And Ursula had Tristan steal Harmonia’s flower of the pact too. It makes me wonder if Ursula is trying to make a spell similar to the one Grimhilde did to evoke the ghost of Althea, in chapter 10.5
Oh! Someone is smarter than I was thinking. So what is that comb after all?
A relic?
Maybe a relic belonging to Harmonia as it was her victory over Ursula.
Whoa, Tristan has powers!
What a surprising turn of events! 😮
The flower, golden hair… Rapunzel !!! Or maybe Rumpelstinskin son’s ?

It’s Galene and Morgain 🙂
Oops! Thank you!
