“Beautiful”? Not like belle to refer to a woman as beautiful. But then again girlfriend barely showed interest in men. Clearly a booksexual. Like that nod to mermaid lore.
Well, I wouldn’t say sexuality really has much to do with this. As much as I’m more than welcome to the idea of Belle being bi icon (slay those close-minded provincials, queen), it’s not really something unusual of a person to acknowledge people they are not attracted to as beautiful. For example, I’m not into women, but I’m aware they are attractive. Besides mermaids being beautiful creatures is also a common mythical knowledge, but I digress, because it’s too general. Probably Belle was also making sure if her and Ariel have the same idea of a mermaid since they are from two different worlds xD
No it was actually because of the multiple comments per post. Thinking back to it, I shouldn’t have reacted this way. I did have a bad day so reacting like this over such little thing was inappropriate. For that, I am truly sorry.

Did you draw the image of the 7th panel entirely by hand, or did you digitally distort it?
That’s because that’s actually Bethalda. Bethalda was the one who showed up at Adam’s castle in disguise and started spreading nasty rumors about Ariel, Belle and Adam. She’s the one who asked Belle about the mermaid. Ursula had also shown up at this point, in her Vanessa disguise, but I don’t think she was supposed to be there and then Bethalda and her got into a catfight–or rather a witch fight.
You’re right, it’s been so long since those pages were released that I completely forgot Berthalda popped up. How could I forgot the infamous fight between Ursula and Berthalda when Ursula was almost strangled to death lol?!?
It’s kinda funny to refer to Ursula as Vanessa as “in disguise”, since in this story it’s actually her real form. As Nerrisa from W.i.t.c.h. would’ve said: “THIS is the real me! Once, now and forever!” xD
But omg, yeah, I loved that moment, I can’t wait to see it redrawn! *__*
I love WITCH and especially Nerissa. I still can’t wait to see more of that minichapter which was about Atlantica and the origin of merpeople. I feel like we’ll learn more about Ursula, Harmonia, and Triton there.
Yeah, to be honest, I kind of forgot that Ursula was actually cursed by Triton in this version to be a sea witch and that “Vanessa” is technically what she really looks like.🤣 I think it’s because that chapter came out before the remake where we discover Ursula’s backstory. Whereas, the opposite occurs whenever remakes of the earlier chapters come out in regards to certain characters where I already know their backstories, such as Althea and Grimhilde.

Ooh,boy I forgot about this comment. Bi con? What closed minded provincials?
Looks just like the film. Ariel mermaid.
Hot belle.
You are a bit weird bro.
What’s wrong with what he said?
Because I said belle is attractive?

Normal panel distorted 🤗
I looove those middle panels! My favorite scene as a kid!
Vanessa looks differently here than she did before. Almost like traits of Ursula are crossing over to make her look distorted.
I think that’s Berthalda, not Vanessa
You’re right, silly me

I’ve got an insane memory for this comic.

Same i also really want to reread it again
