Damn. Aside the original thorn torture, Maleficent has set Phillip through monsters, has thrown him out the window, presumably broke his back and also has set fire to the cottage. I’d say this is quite personal…

What hurts me most here is that Aurora is trying so damn hard to rescue Phillip like he rescued her but at this point, Maleficent is having way too much fun at her helpless expense.

Maleficent didn’t even leave the cottage alone… I don’t want to make less of the upcoming destiny for Phillip, but that new blast to torture Aurora was so so cruel 🙁
I completely get you. As old readers we are mentalized over many events that will happen in this retelling of old chapters, but we’re unaware just like the new readers about the new twists and details. Cinderella being barren, Ursula’s tragic past, Ariel’s tragic present… So aside what we already know about Phillip, Aurora’d be devastated just due losing her childhood home, which is also the only place where she has been happy…

The cottage being burnt down is new right? If Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather even did arrive I would wonder if they could even do anything at this point.
Poor Aurora only knows magic by her aunts’ side so it’s logical that she keeps thinking they have a chance against Maleficent. This last one is showing her how wrong she is…
Oh no also art is gorgeous as always
No! NO!!!!!!! 😭
🙁

Well, last time they faced Maleficent, the 3 fairies hadn’t a chance… Until they won against the “Mistress of Evil”
