Same here. Eric and Ariel look so cute here but we know how sad it will end up for them both. Meanwhile, Tristan and Arista are really cute together as well.

Finally! That explains that one question all us smart alecks always asked: Why didnāt Ariel simply write while she didnāt have her voice? It actually a really clever and simple answer. Eric couldnāt read her language. Also, I didnāt realize that Arista didnāt know that Ariel traded her voice in for legs. Someone exchanging their eye color for a deal with Ursula doesnāt sound nearly so bad, actually.
