I love the more stylized approach of this cover. Hope you change all of them to look like this.

This is gorgeous. It reminds me of the plays in Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Wait I just realized that Briar Rose has her own character tag now…suspicious!

Honestly, I hadn’t commented here in years. Out of curiosity, I came back after having put the story aside for quite a while, and honestly, I can see that everything is much better now. Even this cover goes back to having the style of the original one. The previous one didn’t say much to me; this one feels much more elegant and refined.

I used to be a more regular commenter on the comic, but I stopped commenting after I once had an issue with Breadly. I remember I corrected her in the comments—without any bad intentions—saying that the name Carmilla didn’t come from carmín (crimson) as she claimed. And she started arguing back about something you can easily look up online. According to her, she had a Latin book that explained that Carmilla and Carmen were the origin of the Latin word for carmín. And that is absolutely false.

I also remember a nonsensical piece of dialogue that more than one user asked about, and she started saying it was a medieval expression that appeared, once again, in one of her supposed books. I asked a friend of mine who’s a philologist about that expression, and she told me she had never heard of it and that there’s no record of it anywhere. I don’t understand why she never accepted corrections in the dialogues or why she seemed to have a collection of books with information that’s impossible to find anywhere else.

I’ve noticed improvements in some of the dialogue, and Breadfly’s departure hasn’t affected the art quality at all. On the contrary, it seems to be improving enormously every day. I suppose these comments might not be entirely pleasant to hear, but I just wanted to thank you for continuing this story despite everything.

Good to have you back Yui. I agree that the story is showing massive improvement, and it seems like we’re actually getting more pages more frequently to boot!

Thank God I’m not the only one who noticed those kinds of comments and justifications. I work in design and pattern making, and once, while talking to her through Tumblr asks, she said she had studied a fashion specialty that quite literally doesn’t exist. Not to mention that her designs had flaws and were overly complicated… and on top of that, I’ve read in other comments here that she was taking designs from the internet after having proclaimed herself a designer so many times… honestly, I’m very disappointed in her. I’m glad to see that more people who used to read the comic are coming back to the site and giving it a second chance

I really appreciate Sonne and I really wish he could give us a small list of what Breadfly did for this project and what he’s planning to change or has already changed.

Which piece of dialogue are you talking about? Do you remember?

Oh, the old cover frames! They look so sharp and fresh, it works so well for this cover, I just love the redesign!
