Yes she was, and Isabel didn’t do anything wrong to her mean mother in law, she stayed and endured Catalina through her married life. Yet, even now to her dead daughter in law, she cursed her that she’ll never find happiness after death no matter where either would end up. Just as long as the spirit of Isabel is alive somewhere, Catalina will be close to ruin it.
Technically, Catalina, Francisco and Isabel are the reincarnations of Agatha, Alphonse and Elizabeth, so Catalina’s curse did indeed come true.

That so sad to kill your Sons Lover because you were so jealous and bitter that she was not a real princess and that she lied to you, you took your son’s wife and your grandchildren’s mother out of bitter hate

Catalina/Agatha is truly horrible. Grimhilde’s chapter essentially redeemed her for the readers but this chapter has only made us hate Agatha even more.
I’m actually glad they didn’t pull off another touching Grimhilde level story for Agatha, because I honestly don’t even want to feel sorry for her, ever. I was worried they would make me feel sympathetic for her. And luckily I don’t have to. She’s been a privileged, selfish hag from the very start and now she’s literally a harpy. Agatha just shows that not all of the Seven Sins might get a backstory that will gain sympathy votes, and I like the idea. The only thing I could ask for more, regarding Stepmother, is for her to be hit by karma real hard before she lays a finger on Ella again. And maybe getting some Grimm’s Cinderella treatment right before her fatal doom, that would be kinda nice I guess.

Interesting.”Isabel” is the spanish/portuguese translation of english name “Elizabeth”. In fact, in Portugal and Spain, many people call the queen of England (god bless her soul) by “Isabel” in place of “Elizabeth”
Oh FFS! The bitch was bitter until the very end.

Oh snap! The parallel of Tremaine and Cindy!
